The Tenafly Education Association is a professional organization with over 550 members. We represent teachers, aides, secretaries, custodians/maintenance staff as well as guidance counselors, librarians, child study team members and nurses that are employed by the town (school district) of Tenafly. As a united group of individuals, we have dedicated ourselves to serving the students and community with the highest distinction.

Our association has two primary goals. The first is the role we play in helping to create the best possible educational system for our students. Secondly, and equally as important, is to obtain the best possible collective bargaining agreement for our members which will enable them to continue to serve our students in the most professional manner.

Now, more than ever, our teachers and our public schools are called upon to serve as the foundation of our community. Through the creativity and dedication of our members, we have established and maintained collaborative efforts aimed at school improvement and increased student achievement, as well as increasing our community participation through numerous activities and sponsorships.

It is our belief that given the opportunity, the Tenafly Education Association, the school administration, parents, and elected officials can formulate a true partnership where we speak with one unified voice which advocates for quality education, good schools and student success.

A true leadership team with common themes and mutual respect is beneficial to our community and in particular, our students.

The Tenafly Education Association prides itself as a progressive organization dedicated to the teaching profession and quality of great public schools.
